Raymond Chase's Drown

Overview
Less than a year ago, I discovered the artwork of Raymond Chase online and have been a huge fan of his art and illustration ever since. His style is colorful and dark and whimsical and unique.

One of the first illustrations of Ray's I saw was a piece called Drown:

It's a fantastic painting and I fell in love with it immediately.

Recently, I asked Ray if it would be OK for me to digitally recreate Drown using my digital art technique. He said yes and I went to work. I did a side-by-side recreation using photographic sources and manipulation in Photoshop.
